I'm building a chicken coop 8x8x50 and I want to know if there is anything else to prevent my 2 flocks from attacking each other. I'm giving them plenty of space for 9 and they have been introduced several times but they don't live together. This new coop they will all live together. Anything else I should do? I also plan on adding 6 more in the future.

Are there current runs touching? Or di the free range together? If yes you may be able to move then over no issue. If not how many in each group? Can you pen one of the flocks near the others for a few days to introduce then better?

Since the coop is new to both set of birds territorial pecking should not be an issue. Following standard integration rules of having multiple feed / water stations and installing objects that break the line of sight in a coop, perches / branches that provide places of refuge still apply.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archives I believe there is a thread on integration that should provide lots of ideas.

Good luck

They currently live in separate coops and only interact sometime in the evenings. 4 in one and 5 in the other.

8 feet wide, 6 1/2 feet tall and 50 feet long. When I said 8x8 I meant the coop itself without the run was 8 feet wide and 8 feet long then a 50 foot run.
Ohhhhh, OK, best to describe separately...like this 8x8' coop with 8x50' run.
How many birds in each of the 2 flocks...and ages and genders??

Climate is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, then it's always there!

9 chickens total that are all hens. 4 in 1 group and 5 in the other. 4 are a year old and the others are about 5 months. I live in NC by the way. :)
