10 Baby Wood Ducks (1st thought they were Mallards)

Are yours shy? Do they mind you being around them?

They endure me. I can't get close, and forget about getting my hands on them. If I walk into a small coop area and they are there, I ignore them, and that's what they seem to prefer. They know my daily routine -- cleaning, etc. If I try to get close, they run/fly away. If I carry something weird-looking, they might go into a panic. I have to be careful so they can have a nice calm and happy life. LOL!

Adjustment time:
Overhead shade tarp: 4 days
New swimming pool: 2 days
Custom built swimming platform: 30 minutes

I know. That overturned galvanized tub in the background is pretty ugly, but the ducks like hiding under it, cooling off, and getting away from those crazy chickens. At this point, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Tho one of these days, I'll put together something prettier.

OMG! I caught the kids nipping at the hanging cabbage tonight. It's just too cute!

They are so pretty! Looks like they need another head of cabbage now.

They ended up doing quite a number to that cabbage nub. It eventually fell off and, when I went out to put them to herd them back into the main pen, it was nearly gone. They're more fun than I deserve.
