10 Baby Wood Ducks (1st thought they were Mallards)

They love the mud puddle. Sun is nice and warm

@Miss Lydia will know. She told me that if I feed my tiny babies meal worms I have to have grit but then again they are outside and my get enough dirt to do their digestive tract ok.

I have chick grit on hand, although it has probiotics. Gave them a good rinse and put them in with the babies.

That's sad. I hope the rest keep going. If you feed anything other than their starter they need chick grit.

They have grit now. Thanks! Also, I'm adding dirt to their *ponds*, which they love.

They won't eat the starter, and I put fresh mash out for them all the time. I'm now mixing starter mash with meal worms (ground down to almost powder), and they pick at it a little. They prefer egg, meal worm, and oats. All those ingredients are ground down to almost powder in food processor and then mixed together in the food processor. They get a fresh mix 4-6 times per day.

I made a fresh batch and sprinkled some on the grass while they're outside.

Getting some brewer's yeast in the mail today. I'll be adding a touch of that for B-vitamins, etc.

I'm also going to get some local pond water.
