10 wk roo or pullet?

Since they came from the pullet bin, they were vent sexed. That is 95% accurate.

Looking like they do at 10 weeks old, they are pullets. You will have pretty eggs in about 10 weeks

Unless the tractor supply employees goofed and mixed the bins. I've heard of that happening.

It does!
Usually they sell meat birds as golden comets...Very silly.

does TSC sell straight run chicks other than Cornish X? I have not seen them at mine here in CA
I've seen straight runs here, more than once. One TSC I went to didn't have anything but straight runs of pure breeds and sex links. Of course, the sex link bin was picked clean of females.

A Wyandotte should have a Rose Comb as was noted by a previous poster. My opinion is that the (GLW) Wyandotte's are males. If they are 10 weeks old the females combs and wattles would be barely showing. Just my opinion. I could be wrong. Let us know when they start laying eggs. Good luck and have fun...

I did buy some chicks a couple of years ago from a Rural King. They were supposed to be Brown Leghorns. I had been looking for some for quite awhile. I grew them out and they layed brown eggs, they turned out to be Partridge Rocks. As chicks they do look very similar. I did find a breeder of Dark Brown Leghorns. I just hatched out some of their chicks. :jumpy

yes, it was marked ameraucana on the bin and she looks like my white ameraucana hen. I have not heard of the silver variety and found very little info on ameraucana varieties :)

Cool! They are so beautiful!! I got some "ameraucanas" from our feed mill, but they seem to be more of the EE or Easter Egger type... If you want some more info on what most consider the "real ameraucanas" (though not everyone feels this way), which to me yours looks like this type... you can check out ameraucana.org. They talk about the different varieties and the differences... it's really informative! :)

Because the chick came from TSC, it is an EE. Ameraucanas can only come from a breeder according to the rules for them
This is not always true. I did so much research after being sold ameraucanas that were really EE's, but that doesn't mean that some places aren't actually selling real ones from breeders... and hers looks like a real one to me, much more than an EE... but it is a VERY convoluted topic! :)
