I'm not sure if it's the National Defense Production Act, or what, but none of the big box stores have 1/2 inch hardware cloth in 100' x 4' rolls... and I'm talking about online even. Grrrr.....

Suggestions? I've started framing my run and 4' height material is really what I need. I can get 50' rolls I guess.

Well, never mind. Looks like Amazon has a roll of 100 x 4 at 1/2" by some folks called 7Penn Small Chicken. It's 19 gauge, which appears to be pretty standard. $125. Think I'm going to place an order for 4 rolls later today unless: I find something better, or you all advise against this purchase.

I canceled it. I've never seen hardware cloth that didn't appear to be dipped AFTER welding. But, I also got worried about 100' rolls being unnecessarily beat up during transport due to weight.

I just ordered two 50-foot rolls from Amazon. They’ll arrive this Saturday. If the seller has it in a warehouse in the US, it will still arrive quickly, it’s the shipments coming from overseas that have the delays and restrictions.

The stuff off Amazon likely won't be GAW. When I ordered mine I couldn't find it on Amazon. I had to go with wireclothmanufacturers.com to get GAW wire. I bought a 100' roll and it was in good shape, came in a large cardboard roll, and really wasn't that hard to handle (for me). You will pay a little more in shipping, but I think the cost is worth it. You can readily tell the difference between the galvanizing on GAW and the store bought stuff. GAW is a much brighter chrome color, and doesn't flake with age. I have store bought stuff that went dark and flakey while stored inside.
