Two is good! One hatched is sad because of the lonely chick.Well my two eggs hatched
Unfortunately I had to assist them both, the humidity dropped after the first day of lockdown and they both got “stuck” or wrapped
Shipping the eggs such a long distance and borrowing a different incubator was definitely a huge learning experience for me!
I’m just hoping these two little guys make it ok since I had to interfere.. I’ll grab pics soon! They are cute!
thanks....he’s a cutie! have pics but i’m waiting on my phone to chargeNice!
I am sorry! Can you get him a mirror?thanks....he’s a cutie! have pics but i’m waiting on my phone to chargeLooks like he is going to be a loner chick
so i’ve been handling him in attempt to make a “house quail”. he’s very quiet and seems happy even alone. i had one other hatch that was immediate cull, and 1 attempted assist that ended DIS. I candled and egg-topsied today and left 2 in the bator with
, but not really high hopes.
starting to think that too much variety in a mixed flock/covey might not be a good thing!
