12+ Frizzle eggs / $12.00 plus shipping / from SC / next avail 1/19

Oh, hey, I have a question. I have a little black Frizzle that hatched out about 6 weeks ago and he still only has his wing and leg feathers...the rest of him is BALD. I know you don't breed Frizzle x Frizzle, but I can't figure out what the heck is wrong with him! He acts fine, but he just looks wierd...I'll have to get a pic of him tomorrow. Any ideas?

Hi Kelly! Slow feathering gene in the Frizz males is a thing I'm seeing here (I think).
Blu-Kote was my friend when I had a bunch of them running together (they all were purple). They will eventually feather-out and grow into beautiful birds.

I have some in the brooders that are from the same pen and are so different. The smooth chicks are fully feathered and the frizz chicks have down or naked places where feathers should be.
You call him 'He'. That would explain it.

Ok, just wondering. I feel so bad for him b/c he's lost all his fuzz and hasn't grown in any other feathers. His sister has all of her feathers...she's frizzled too, but I guess it's just a difference in gender. Hopefully he doesn't freeze before he gets some more feathers!

Yaaay for wigglers! Great job getting them started, Cindy!
It's all about the chickens.
I love to hear eggs are growing and see chicks are hatching everywhere!
Life's little pleasures... Eggs born and bred here in SC just hatched all the way in Montana. I've never been to Montana.
You can't imagine how happy it makes me.

sorry dispy, i keep forgetting they are silkie feathered not silkies, but boy do they look it!! They are just cute! I had one serama get to pipping and zipping all the way around the egg and then die. I was just bummed. I should have had 5 hatch out, but only got 4 with the one dying, but I love the 4 I have! So I have 1 serama 1 frizzle and 2 silkie feathered green eggers, or what ever you called them ha ha!

Hi Lisa!

Remember I asked you about eggs about a week ago and you said you would send me an email....? Did you forget? I would still like some frizzle eggs if you have any!

Claire

I have more of Lisa's eggs due to hatch Friday!!

6 Frizzles and 4 Silkie feathered green eggers!!!

My 3 babies that hatched last week are just sweeties!!! So far, 1 definitely, the silver downed Tuff, is frizzle...waiting to see on the other 2.

Hi Ashley! The reason I make the distinction is the SFGE hens

don't look much like a Silkie except they have silkie feathering.
This next generation (the chicks like you hatched) look more Silkie-ish.

Claire, Dunno why the email didn't go thru, I sent another.

And I PM'ed you, Amy. Good luck with Fridays' hatch. I have a group here hatching either Thurs or Fri (my CRS is acting up again).
