12th Annual 2021 BYC New Year's Day Hatch-Along!

These are not my final numbers for the contest, but today is "Day 0" on the incubator. Appears I did some crappy addition (ok, I was over eager, and started too soon!). 3 of 12 were removed as infertile about 10 days ago. Of the remaining nine, TWO hatched yesterday. ONE hatched last night after 11 / this AM before 7, and THREE have externally pipped. Used a dry incubator this time till lock down, much happier with the results so far. Wasn't expecting any external pipping till today, and the hatches to be mostly tomorrow - my birds have apparently selected the short side of 21 days, this time around...

Apologies for picture quality, hard to hold cell phone camera and keep the heat plate lifted at the same time, while keeping my shadow out of the photo. Was working quickly so they stayed warm.

Getting ready to put mine into lockdown tonight. 8 duck eggs active, drawn down, and shadows in the air cells! 10 chicken eggs, fully dark (Cream Legbars, Lavender Orps, Welsummers) so the shells are hard to detect other than the air cells.
