My husband hates you all FYI :p I'm over here thinking of all the cool stuff I could hatch out....I've been on eBay looking at Emu eggs....not that i need an emu but here we are LOL!

I'll end up with some kind of chicken not sure what yet....we shall see
My husband hates guineas and I have a line on hatching eggs next lol. I'd love a emu! lol

Hubby gave me a incubator for my Birthday, not the one I was going to buy but I'm giving it a go. I have to hand turn because it is too small. I contacted a nice girl on the classifieds who sent me a ad for hatching eggs. So I put 12 mixed duck eggs in on Sunday March 6th. Anything from runner, pekin, cayuga, crested and muskovy I was told lol. It was a friend of a cousin who dropped the eggs off at this ladys house so I didn't get to choose. So it will be a surprise hatch for me if all goes well. My first time hatching ducklings too! I'm smiling though!
Ducklings are so cute!

Ok so while collecting hatching eggs today I noticed I got a egg from my Silver Spangled Hamburg hen Dizzy..who happens to be the ugliest member of her breed I’ve ever seen.wonky crooked body, wonky feathers, surprisingly healthy and sweet tempered.I told myself I would never breed from her because of this..but it’s sooo tempting to as she is the only example I have and I’ve always wanted to see the resulting chick..but my rooster is sooo much larger than her is it even possible that the egg is fertile?Should I risk it?I’m so conflicted!:hit

It's very possible that the eggs are fertilized but the twisting of her body you're referring to sounds like a possible genetic defect that would make me hesitate to hatch her eggs.
