I have 22 eggs due on the 10th and was told by admin they count for this hatch along! Yay! Looks like 21 have some development and the last is a dark egg so I’m leaving it as a maybe. I guess our silver laced Wyandotte knows his business! The last 100 or so eggs the ladies have laid have all been fertile.
Thanks! I’m not sure, honestly. I’m still pretty new to pigeons. View attachment 3044122
These are the parents. I think they might be homing pigeons? Or at least that’s what someone said when I first adopted them. I live in CA.
Oooo, how long has your uncle been raising pigeons?
Your pigeons are soooo pretty!! I wonder if they are homing pigeons (I know nothing about them, BTW ). Do you let them outside or are they indoor?
He’s been keeping pigeons for as long as I remember! He’s won tons of awards and had a bird that won the national homing pigeon award in 2011 (like the Westminster Kennel Show, but for pigeons)! I think he was the prez of the National Show Racing Pigeon Association a decade or so ago. I’m super proud of him.
Did my 1st full candling . 4 clear unfertiles. All from my NH Hens. Only got 2 fertile and growing from them but 1 egg may be from a diff breed. Too many girls to keep track of. All others progressing nicely.
Havent checked under my broody yet, been waiting for the days to be above freezing to have a look.
Here's my second homemade incubator. I will be setting my eggs this am.I don't think it will count now but I finally have stayed at the correct temp and humidity for over 24 hours.
My husband made this one out of duct board or duct panel. And added a frame from my plastic tote so I can watch.Wish me luck
I'm super excited.
I set 10 @ 9:50am today.

I just set a dozen bantam eggs the other day, with the hope of them hatching on Easter Sunday! 18-19 days for those little boogers (in my experience). I didn't see the post in time to set them to hatch the day before, but maybe I'll have some early hatchers!!
