hi, I have a 14-15 week old Wyandotte. It started having comb/wattle redness at around 10 weeks and have gotten redder and more pronounced. There are one or two iridescent green feathers coming in the tail area. They don’t look sickle shape to me and I can’t tell if the saddle feathers are round or sharp giving the white veining causing an optical illusion. I picked this one from the straight run bin and got the most timid one hoping for a girl. It usually gets picked on the the other pullets that are all the same age. Out of 10, it’s probably ranking #6/7 in the pecking order and walks with its head down, hen style.
what to you think??

Thanks everyone. I was afraid of that. I’ll wait for crowing or more saddle feathers. Then try the rooster collar. If not I’ll put him up for adoption.

By the way, the other laced black and white one is a sebright bantam. I don’t have another Wyandotte to compare to.

Be cautious with the no-crow collar, because I have heard more than one story of it choking and killing a rooster. But then again, maybe it will work! I do not know.
