Hi everyone! New to raising chickens, but ive gotten so much amazing info from this site so I havent had a question of my own until now!

we got 2 chicks from a friend who's neighbors' cochin rooster hopped the fence and got 2 of her frizzle hens. Some of them have frizzle feathers and others laid flat so we got 1 of each. They ate 14 weeks.

The frizzle feather one im sure is a girl, but my smooth feather...I'm nervous is actually a roo. He/she has always had a bigger more red comb and wattle and i know Cochins are a fairly big breed, so her being bigger than her sister i didnt think much about. I dont see any saddle or hackle feathers yet but the dark red coloring on the wings, makes me wonder. Any input is greatly appreciated😁

I was hoping and praying we had 2 hens:fl We just had to get rid of a Americauna roo a few weeks ago and it broke my heart a bit. This one is very quiet. Definitely no crowing yet.

I'll definitely wait until I hear a crow to rehome, but I had a feeling I'd get the roo response lol
