Welcome to the contest! Last year BYC members set 2623 eggs! How many will be set this year? Give us your best guess on how many eggs will be set by all BYCers participating in this hatch-along, have the closest guess, and you win! It includes ALL eggs, whether they are chicken, duck, goose, turkey, quail, emus, etc.

To enter your guess, post in this thread with your guess of how many eggs will be set.

Please make sure to check this Google spreadsheet and/or search this thread to make sure your number isn't already taken. This can be made easier by opening the search box at the top of BYC, entering the number you have in mind, clicking 'search this thread only,' then searching.

To increase your chances of winning, please read the rules before entering.

Rules:
  1. All entries must be submitted/posted to this thread.
  2. Check this Google spreadsheet, and/or search this thread to see if your guess has been chosen already.
  3. One guess per post, please - NO EDITS.
  4. Whole numbers only.
  5. If you want to lock in a specific number, post it before anybody else.
  6. You can change your guess to a different quantity IF IT IS NOT TAKEN, but if you choose another number, you allow someone else to take your previous guess.
  7. You can change your guess as many times as you want until April tbd, 2023, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.
  8. To change your guess, make a new post.
  9. If you want to lock in a specific number, post it before anybody else.
  10. If the number you chose has been taken and you want to guess again, please post a new message, do NOT edit or delete your original guess. All edited posts will be disqualified.
  11. Open to all BYC members.
  12. All BYC rules apply: Terms of Service (Rules)
  13. The contest stops accepting entries on April 16th, 2023, at 11:59 PM Pacific Time.

The official hatch-alongs can be tough because they all seem to fall during volatile weather conditions for many of us 😭 but they can also be great learning experiences for better hatch rates during more optimal conditions 😉😉😉
