Zia is 15 weeks old in these pictures. She was such a friendly sweetheart but in the past couple of weeks she has become difficult to handle, she runs and jumps from us and is acting strange. I was looking at some other posts of 15 week old BO's and I noticed that her tail looks very different, she doesn't have that poofy bum they all seem to have. I'm starting to get concerned that she is a he. Any thoughts?

Then why is she so moody? She is becoming more and more difficult to handle. We have started calling her the kung fu chicken because of her tactics of avoidance and annoyance.

Thanks! I love taking pictures of our chickens. This was one reason I actually wanted them. Catching their personality on film is tough but I love it when I get that 1 photo that has the perfect lighting and shows their distinct personality.

My BO pullets are very touchy and moody. I've always heard that they were sweet and friendly but mine are not.

My BO cockeral is 13 weeks or so and looks MUCH more "rooish" than your bird. Comb is much larger and redder and he is getting very shiny hackles.
