16 x 12 Coop

Pics
I should have waited to make my coop. This is very informative. And humbling. Very humbling.

This coop is going to be awesome.

Did you see my first attempt at making a coop? It was a total disaster and totally wrong at least I was able to salvage it into a roost box.

I found a Roundtuit yesterday and started on the Poop Tray, right away I realized that it would be mobile table and that 36" tall was a bit too tall for me so I'll take it apart and shorten the legs a bit. The table size is 30" x 96".

Ooooh, pretty! I really, really want your bar clamps too.

Just a tad tall to reach back 30" to scoop poop. I'm thinking the roost will be at least a foot up from the poop tray.

I can see that....but...it depends on technique.
I use a hoe with the handle cut off to pull it all forward under 8" high roost,
but then I only have about 1/8" deep PDZ and sift all of it every day.
I think you've seen the pics.

Will you have 2 roosts or just 1?
Lower roost allows for 24" enough to catch all 'over shoots'.

I'm just putting a single roost down the middle, hoping that 30" is wide enough for the ones with velocity... I will be able to adjust the height as needed once the Cinnamon Queens are hens. I'm a minimalist so if I can do the job with one tool I prefer that... always losing tools lol.

Still wondering if the RIR's will get along with the Cinnamon Queens or not. If not I have enough room for each group except for the chicken yard which must be shared by both. It will be interesting for sure.
