19 week old hen disappeared all day, egg hunt now?

My 19 week bantam EE hen disappeared all day yesterday. I searched and searched but couldn't find her. I had totally given up on ever seeing her again. Honestly the only thing I could think of was that she had somehow decided to explore the trash bin while the truck was here. Yes, I have an overly vivid imagination

. Only to have her reappear at bedtime. She's never shown signs of binging a loner and she appears perfectly fine so I don't think she was scared off. What do you guys think?

Do you suppose she has a secret nest, or she's broody?

That's what I'm wondering. I have everyone locked up in the coop today in hopes of an egg. After lunch I'll let everyone out and see if/where she sneaks off to.

My hen had a secret nest. She and a Cochin roo live together and she was broody, so we put some show quality eggs under her, and she then got unbroody, and made a egg of her own, and now she hatched a mutt!
