A wonder story for the love of chickens

yet an other Del egg has pipped for a total of 10 so far.

The Orps are wiggling but not much else at this time. It is still early and they are not due until tomorrow, so although I am impatient, they are still in good shape and have lots of time left to do their thing.
I can also hear cheeping from the Dels. They might be complaining about the music, or trying to sing along

This part drives me crazy when everyone is pipping, then they seem to take a nap before zipping.

I'm only on Days 7 and 9 with the two groups I'm hatching for other folks. As usual, Skye's eggs are not fertile and even one of Dusty's was missed on the "fertility conveyor belt". Even though I won't be keeping any of these, it's always fun to watch the miracle unfold.

Do we define "FUN" as staying up all night long crouched over a bator, breaking our necks to look through a 2x4 inch plastic window for signs of new life?

This sounds like madness to me,

but we still do it. So is it addiction or fun, or both?

And Cyn, I guess the Orp numbers don't matter because what they lack in quantity, they more than make up for in quality

How much beauty can one handle?!!

I'm going to get in trouble stopping by this site from work so much, but I gotta check on how this hatch is going.

My oldest DS wanted to try to hatch his first pullet egg, even though we have no incubator and I had to explain it was a little small for a growing chick.

Go chickies! Hurry up and relieve your tenders' stress levels by getting out already!

Thank you so much to all who are watching and have offered support

We are now up to 14 pips, no zips and more cheeping and wiggling

the one in the photo is the furthest along so far but still has a way to go yet. Come out little baby, don't be shy, we want a better photo of you

Cyn, they are all Georgia Dels going right now. We had just the one PA Del pip last night and still waiting. The PA Dels went in later than the GA Dels and aren't supossed to hatch until 9/24. The PA Dels are dancing and wiggling but no more pipping or zipping.
We have one of your Del eggs (a big one) going real strong right now. It's not zipped yet but working hard at it.

It won't be long now, I hope

the total number of GA pips is up to 15 now. Just one PA.
