My golden buff polish rooster(Flaps) is pretty much the man of the yard😋 All my ladies love him and he’s a good one. Very protective over the girls and our coop. Well for about the last month my silkie hen(Suki)went broody so I figured why not try to hatch a few eggs. I placed 2 to start and sadly a week later my Roo got a little excited and crushed 1 so I Replaced that 1 with eggs from my 2 naked necks(Elvira & Ursula)that are laying(1from each hen) I’m happy to say for my 1st time all went well and 21days later my silkie hatched her chick first and a week later the other 2 hatched. She wasn’t as accepting to the later hatched chicks so I separated them from her and her chick. She’s doing great with hers and I’m raising the other 2. I’ve attached pics and I can’t wait to see what they grow to look like.🧐Appearance wise I have 3 completely different looking chicks so this should be interesting🤩 if anyone has mixed these breeds before I’d love to see what yours look like😍

My entire flock is of mixed breeds.
I never know what is going to pop out of an egg. I get all shades. Of green and brown to cream colored eggs.
Sadly I dont have any turkens now, but have had in the past and Loved there disposition and personality. Had a white silky rooster about 8 years ago and now every so often I get a chick with an extra toe.
Your chicks are adorable!

Congratulations on your hatch! Super cute chicks!🥰
I have a Silkie/Polish cross. Apparently they’re known as Polkies! 🤣
She is two months old now, photos attached. Dad though is Silkie and mom is Polish in her case.
Her crest is something between the Polish and Silkie crests.😊

Congratulations on your chicks! They are adorable! I would love to see pictures of mixed breeds also...and of yours as they grow! I put some eggs in the incubator from my mixed-flock.... can't wait to see what I get if anything. Hatch day is around April 27th. I've hatched quail once before, but this is my first time attempting to hatch chicken eggs....fingers crossed.

😍Update:I think the white one is a cockerel. It just has that kind of personality. The other 2 I’m not 100% sure but the NN might be too. Hopefully not but I didn’t start seeing my other NN pullet traits until they were way older so my fingers are crossed🤞🏼

Since you have experience with this mix do you think it’s a pullet or cockerel based on these pics? It is 12 weeks old. My guess is a roo because it shows personality like one but I can’t tell fully

Mine has 5 toes on one foot as well! 😍
Can you get a real good close up of the comb? Push crest back with one hand and have some one help you if needed. I think this may be a pullet at this age. Comb photo will help. Beautiful bird!

Thank you so much. Here are the better ones I was able to take. It literally started raining when I took it out lol

I think may be right about this one being a boy. The comb is dark mulberry already at 12 weeks. You should start seeing male saddle feathers growing out soon at the base of the tail. These will be pointy. 😊
