Somewhere down in Texas
I have 15 2 1/2 week old chicks from McMurray, and 2 of them are Columbian Wyandotte’s. I’ve noticed little bare spots on both of them and don’t know what it is. I know they molt a lot when they are little, so is this just a mini molt? I hope so. I haven’t noticed it on the other chicks, but I’ll go check right now. Thanks for any help!

Well I woke up this morning and checked on all the chicks, and 2 more chicks had picking wounds. I’m housing my 2 goslings with them, and had suspicions it was them, and I was correct. It was my gosling named Daffy. It was pecking at their feathers until they ripped out, and I felt so bad for the chicks, so I took daffy out and daffy is now in time out all alone. Hopefully this will help! I also put Veterciyn spray on the 4 chicks that had exposed skin. They all seem ok, and I think they’ll be fine, I just can’t have daffy being mean to them.
