Hi!
This chick appears to be growing up differently than the other chicks that I assumed were the same breed when I purchased 10 from Tractor Supply.
I’m not sure what’s going on. It could just be molting, but it’s around 3 weeks old and the others have barely gotten all their feathers and still look like babies.
If anyone has any feedback I’d appreciate it!

She looks like a naked bird to me. As in, from what I can see in the pictures, she's not going to have feathers in certain spots. Like the side of her neck--I don't see any beginnings of feathers.

Do they all look like this?

What breed is she?

I don't think it's molt.

Molting typically happens in the Fall, when days get shorter and nights cooler, signaling the birds to grow new feathers in preparation for colder months ahead.

Babies have multiple molts in their first few months.
Sometimes they have bald patches although usually I have seen them bald under their wings so that is a bit unusual.
Is she eating and pooping and moving around like the others? If so I wouldn’t worry. But do keep an eye on her that she is growing and putting in weight.
