I was waiting to post this to see if it would improve, but it hasn’t.

Around 2 to 3 weeks ago, we bought 14 Buff Orphington chicks, they came healthy and all alive. One of them came with an eye that looks like it’s bulging out- it does get a little watery sometimes. There is no drainage. The eye is cloudy and the chick cannot see on that side. Other than her eye issue, she’s perfectly healthy, eating, drinking and active with all the others. Her and her siblings have been on the Rooster Booster vitamins for their water. What should I do to help her? She doesn’t seem to be in pain with it, just looks uncomfortable. I’ll post pictures tomorrow at some point.

I agree with @RainbowHen if you have vet care that would be best.
I would say that is a deformity. It would probably be better to have the eye removed.
Do you think I should wait until she’s a little older? I’d be so upset if I lost her. I know how sensitive birds are to medications during a surgical procedure.

I thought I’d like to update everyone on this girl- she’s doing wonderful and will live with my blind hen. She gets picked on too much and is such a sweetheart. We have named her “Googles”
