20 week old Australorps not laying.

My 20 week old Australorps aren't laying yet, any suggestions. I'm in SW Louisiana still hot around here. I also have dogs that love to bark could these be reasons why no eggs? Or am I a nervous new mom?

Australorp's usually begin laying between 5-6 months, so another 4-6 weeks.

I'm new at this too. My two Australorps are 21 weeks old or so, and one of them just laid her first egg two days ago. The other one isn't showing any signs yet. I hope that helps!

Mornin, good to know. I was begining to think I had pet chickens. My daughter loves to sit on the bench I put in the pen so i had made up my mind that they are pets. Hahaha.
