2010 What Do You Want Added To The BYC Forum & WebSite?

On another forum I use - there is a button under the poster's name that filters to show only what the original poster has written in that particular thread. Very useful for long threads where I only want to see updates from the original poster and not 30 pages of smiles. (Nothing wrong with people's smile replies, but sometimes I just want to see the updates as the OP's bird ages or recovers from a dog attack or something)

It makes the URL go something like this: (byc/forum/viewtopic)/showthread.php?threadid=3339297&userid=81508

Is that something that could be implemented here?

Okay- I haven't read the last 50+ posts since I was on this thread last, so I'm not sure if these have been mentioned- forgive me if so.

1. A way to search for a phrase: "RED SILKIES" versus the two words appearing somewhere in the thread, however unrelated they may be Red AND Silkies which is how it works now.

2. Search that can include, specify, or exclude signature information

3. A way to edit the pic in an auction (I forgot to put one in, and I'm toast now. No Mulligans)

4. The ability to browse member photos? Is that weird? I sometimes remember someone has a breed and know they posted a pic...but for the life of me can't remember enough about the thread or discussion to find it...or have to page through 400 pages and still can't find it...

I don't know if this was mentioned, but I would love to see the first sentence or so of a thread. On many other message boards you can just hover your cursor over the thread title and see the first sentence without having to open up the thread. That would be GREAT on BYC and sure save me alot of time as I would have an idea if that thread is of interest to me.

Two somewhat nit-picky things:
- I would like to be able to click on BYC home, Learning Center, Breeds, etc. at the bottom of the page, as well as the top, to avoid all the scrolling up and down.
- I would love to have some indication on the "view my BYC page" link that shows whether or not there is actually anything on an individual's BYC page. Countless times, I have clicked on people's links only to watch a blank page load.
