2014 Hatchery Chick Orders

got the call from the PO just before 7am that my chicks were in!
I ordered 9 Buckeyes, 4 Easter Eggers, 3 Black Australorps, 3 Cuckoo Marans, 3 Plymouth Barred Rocks and 3 Buff Brahmas. 26 chicks in the box instead of 25. Sadly, one of the EE's was DOA My spare looks to be a Buff Brahma.
Everyone is doing super well and they are precocious and sassy and full of life!
Judging by the times I've been "bit" by them today, they are hungry little beasties too! LOL

I'm super happy with how they look and how healthy they seem! Can't wait to see how they mature <3

My Cackle order shipped yesterday! It takes one day to get to Memphis but it will take another whole day and two nights to travel the two hours from there to my local po :/

I will try to post pictures when they have settled some more.

I ordered:

2 bourbon red turkey poults
1 NH cockeral to replace the one from cinnamon queen breeding coop that a dog killed
5 EEs (6 were sent)
10 Appenzeller Spitzhaubens (11 were sent)
15 assorted Cochin bantams (18 were sent)

Hmm.. My chicks were supposed to ship out 4/23, but I got a email from Ideal on 4/22 saying: Just a Reminder! Your poultry order has been shipped and I should expect delivery in the next 72 hours. Has anyone had their chicks ship out on a Tuesday from them? If this is true, I could be getting them in less than an hour!
