Interior laying boxes with roost and poop board on top, will be filled with sand and sweet pdz.

Jetdog, This is a great idea. I've been trying to figure out how to fit some nesting boxes and a roost in a small area - plus I want to keep a few birds that don't like to roost so much from sitting right under the roost and getting pooped on. This is perfect! is the poop board removable so you can scrape it off, or just a place to catch poop then you sweep it out or what? I'm so excited now to build something like this!!! Thank you thank you thank you!

Thanks, it's not removable I use a cat litter scoop and sift out the poop from the sweet pdz.

We started building our mini coop on March 1st but with all the rain we've had in GA and my DH having to go out of town on a job for 2 weeks this is as far as we have gotten. Hopeful we will have sun for a few days in a row this week so we can finish. We need to get our chicks (now 4 weeks old) in the mini coop by the time they are 6 weeks old.
