Got the new coop finished. We have 3 all together and still need 1 more, also need to get another chick pin. The one I have now is full of 2 week olds and I have another hatch in 10 days. Thought I'd share some pics of my little chicken farm, it's about 80% repurposed materials even our small transport cages. 1 was out by the road for trash, lol another was given to us and 1 was part of a trade. We do what we can with what we have.

Very nice! I especially like the pallet shelves, what is their purpose?

not having a good day,  my springer had two seizures today.  never had any before, not sure whats going on.  if she ate some cake or something else or what.... this day is just awful.  family is up at the waterpark all upset when they left and so disjointed without mom. but I am sure fine without me by now! my poor baby girl is prancing around and so confused.  researching online all day.  vet still didnt call me back. waiting....  we had a beagle when i was a kid had them but these are not the same, these are weird.... 


will check back in later, hope you all have a better day than I am having.... but it could be worse. praying she gets better!!!!

The shelves are their nest, they lay in the bins. I don't have any hay in then yet since none of these are laying yet

Sally, I hope things work out with the pup. Maybe it is something she ate, and will get better in time. I pray for doggies too!

I'm about 300 posts behind, but thought I'd comment that this boy is a Looker! Love those dark eyes!!

Thank you! Today a free roaming, (in the yard), Serama cockerel got his leg band stuck on the fence and acted like he was getting killed. It excited a German Shepard that I'm dog sitting for the day. The dog is usually fine among the birds, but the screaming that the little Serama was doing had the dog excited and he was trying to get close enough to grab him but this big rooster protected the little guy and wouldn't let the dog get close.
