:frow i live in South LA and i just wanted to chime in with the same fact, my local humidity never falls below 50%, inside the bator i had hoped that the fans would dry it out? Hardly. Still had 18/21 hatch from my last (first) set.
There is a BYC Member on one of the Heritage threads that posted yesterday that he keeps his cabinet incubator at 50% humidity all the time, incubating and hatching. It sounds like 55% works fine for you so keep up the good work!
I hear you, it gets like that sometimes here as well! Thank goodness for the dehumidifier, sometimes that doesnt take it down a bit either. you have to work with what you have, seasons change, some summers are dry as heck and like our summer, part was dry and then it was humid as heck! it was all over the place! drove me insane! Were do you winter the littles tiffani? I keep ours in our garage until about two months and then they go out into a small grow out pen with our serama, I love having the serama because I can always add them out of the grow out pens when they wont fit through the wire fencing with serama. and then I send them out to where they belong. or a dozen or so of each??? :lau I just love RIR!!! such pretty chicks too! going to be cute all around! good luck!
It's humid here year round but summers are exapecially tough. I have a pin I built to house them that we wraped in insulated boards and a heat lamp inside for them. The coldest it's gotten so far is 50 but it was still 95 in the pin.

I pray he is nice to the baby stinker!!

serama roos are little boogers!
Are they? I don't even know if this is a roo or not yet.
I did notice him/her strutting & bouncing around last night when we were playing. Silly little thing

Hatch day! 3 pips out of 40 eggs so far. I JUST heard chirping finally. It seriously feels like christmas. This is our second hatching attempt. First one did not go well at all (no survivors). When we candled them at day 18 before lockdown we had 36 wiggling chicks. I just really hope we get some fuzzballs for my kids to see when they get home from school. Fingers crossed!!! Im like a nervous new mommy!

Thats pretty impressive for shipped eggs. How far did they travel? I am still trying to get a good hatch out of shipped eggs. Congrats.

Sorry! Hit reply before I could post their photo!

Look on the Naked Neck/Turken thread.
@kassandra & @Kev. Both have naked chickens and neatly naked chickens. Kassandra also have I'm not sure if they're totally FM or almost FM nakeds too. I don't think they have Banty though.
