They will breed more of themselves, yes! Scaleless is a recessive gene so to any bird they would at least make splits, but luckily the turkens hatching are already het scaleless. I am hoping to get at least one scaleless more out of the last two eggs, but count myself lucky to have one!

Wow! I want one now. I'll have to track some down. :p

SOOOO if no one enters this one,
I get to egg every ones houses right?
AND TRUST ME ... I GOT THE EGGS!!!!!!

Now how hard is it to stuff a pair of jeans and a buttondown shirt with newspaper, shove a mask on top sit him in a chair, add some dollar store spider webbing that covers almost 20 foot a bag, crumble up some more newspaper and shove some in some white garbage bags to make heads for ghosts and dangle them in trees, or black trash bags for huge spiders, or to long sticks hammered into the ground with a pair of jeans stuffed with news papers upside down slid on them and boots on them. or throw some pumpkins, corn stalks or halloween decor at the coop for some cool pure breed hatching eggs? I say, what up with you all? hmmmmm? need some inspiration eh?

I can give that if you need it!

I write an egg number on mine. The egg number goes in a notebook with hen and rooster, egg weight, egg shell hue, date laid, date set. The eggs then go into mesh pedigree bags. They get leg banded when they come out of the bags.

When I'm hatching out certain matings or wanting to know which run ( by rooster) I use those big I think they are a 3 quart size clear containers that strawberries come in. They have the air holes and work great. I put as many eggs that fit in them without too much crowding. I even use the smaller ones if I can't get the bigger ones.

I'm done hatching... I candled my last lavender ameracauna egg and no movement so I poked a small hole to see and found a late quitter. :(
