    oh!

well lets start with the bators then. what exactly you have, fans or not?

    Good hygro thermo is important.
steady room temp is also important (where can you put it in the house to get this?)
and do you have a turner in it? and can you put in heat sinks? be it pebbles or rocks to maintain temps?

I have rocks in both incubators. We just replaced the fan/heat unit on top to a higher degree in the house over 80. The whole house gets that way with fans ac vaporizers humidifier and nebulizer going. Las Vegas nv gets hot and humidity goes sky high here. We our just below the mountain.but higher then the lake.we have a small box fan going by the table next to it.the meter on top of the bators don't work.when we can afford to do so I need to replace the inco therm and zoology temp/humidity gauge that stop working when calibrated it after washing it out good.from the last deaths.i have sponges in it. My incubators go to high with warm water in it I can only put a little warm water in sponge yes we have a turner for both incubators.

so your saying its the thermo/hygro is the issue?

I havent purchased any in a long long time so I am not sure what good cheaper reliant models are available, lets see what everyone can help out with that. maybe give you some links. I think I saw a hygro link, not sure without going back if it was a combo unit.

Of course whatever you decide, it's your property....

    but....

NOOOOOOooooooOOOooo! I love restoring treadle sewing machines!! LOVE THEM. There is just something about being able to control the speed of the sewing machine (and exercising) with your own rhythm that is just unbeatable. Last year I searched high and low for various machines/bases and CRIED when I found tables I could have used all dismantled and made into "retro desks" without their gearing. Which reminds me, i still need to find a base for my Davis sewing machine.

Other than that, I can find these dismantled on craigslist for pennies. But for me they're unusable dismantled :(
