I agree! I adore RIRs! I grew up with a flock of 40 & they were my first eggs I hatched on my own @ 8 years old. They were the sweetest girls! They loved hugs & cuddles & just begged for attention.[IMG]

Eep. Something smells a bit off in the 'bator tonight. How do I identify which one it is?? I picked the cracked one up and sniffed it and it smells fine... Which one could it be! [IMG]

ETA: Nevermind I found it [IMG] Yes, I sniffed it, it was obvious. It was one of the Marans eggs, yet not the cracked one. I opened it up (in a ziploc baggie) and it was scrambled inside, no development whatsoever. Blech.

Wow! That is a heck of an assortment of cool and rare birds! I really hope you have a good hatch.

What a little cutie! Is it a singleton?

My favorite is the black with yellow flowered pattern, I like the maroon as well and of course the pattern with the bowl of eggs!

I'm up to 3 now, but one needed assistance so I'm not sure about how healthy it is. It's loud,so that is a good sign.
Keep the votes coming. I'm having a hard time finding everything I need in my sewing room, but I expect to work on the apron this week.

The youngest one is drying off in the brooder with the other two because it cried out so much last night. I haven't pulled an exhausting night like that in a long time.
