Thanks! I used to breed show rabbits. Those were some of my show stock satin angoras and their baby. I miss my rabbits. I got out of breeding them a couple years ago. Now I'm on to chickens!

Very cute. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've stuck a quail egg in my pocket and forgot it was there until....squish lol

I often go collect eggs in shorts with big pockets. Great for collecting some eggs...not so great when a 70 pound dog greets me with a bear hug on my way to put the eggs away. We've only had one or two pocket squishes so far, messy!

Last week I had on a pair of camo shorts. We headed out on errands and when I got out of the truck at Lowe's I look down and the whole right pocket was soaking wet. My first thought was,"What the heck??" And then the lightbulb went on... a squished quail egg. Luckily I had a pair of leggings in tbe truck so was able to go into the restroom and change clothes. Lol That was the 1st time I forgot and actually got squished in public.haha

Ugh! I hear ya on the humidity. I use my still air incubator as a hatcher, seems to work better that way. I too have said to myself, no more helping... The problem with that is seeing chicks that have died in the shell after pipping that I'm sure I could have helped. Such a bummer. I'll be using a broody hen for this hatch, that seems to be the best way to help humidity issues.

Man, oh man, does this thread move! Can't keep up.

How about that... I thought ducks were seasonal layers, are you in a better climate? Or do Runners lay all year?

This is amazing! And you don't sew?

@kdunn, Kalua in your coffee kinda day? :lau. Nice way to put it...I've had a few of those myself. It's raining pretty hard here, is that reason enough? Although I am scheduled to carpool Girl Scouts later this afternoon, may have to wait till after dinner.

    FOR THE PUMPKIN Carving contest,

Would it be fun to make it have to be a FOWL themed CARVING?

    This is BYC anyways! [IMG]
