After I re-read this lengthy post of mine, I thought I should clarify....normally I do ship out more eggs if somebody has a bad hatch from me, even though it's not my fault, I still want them to get chicks. With this person, I just refunded his money. I didn't have to, but didn't want to ship him more eggs either because he was using a threat to get his way. Just wanted to be done with him.
Okay, now I think I'm done....:D

Thank you for the perspective. I've been in touch with each seller of eggs during and after hatch. I would love for someone to volunteer to send me more eggs but I don't expect it during my contact. I'm not great at this hatching thing yet so I'm really absorbing and learning each time. Like you, Cowgirl told me she had no major problems with her recent hatch, so I know the eggs were probably in good hatchable condition when they left her. TX to NY is a rough haul. I'm curious about how we could develop a better shipping system (like a gyroscope or gravity based shipping system) and how we could better predict the best conditions for each breeds eggs.

my serama always do that! the boogers!!!! I just threw this image in the caption thread... thought I would throw it here... though he was cute, I found on my cell looking for a pic earlier today A Splash Partridge Brahma Cockerel being his nosy young self...... eyeing up the kids Frisbee golf
"Why would someone waste a perfectly pretty nest on flying discs?"

:woot What is it?

How is the other one doing with the lengthwise zipping? Any progress? Is it a d'Uccle? They usually come out pretty fast.

The length wide zipper I wound up helping her out. I removed the shell and the cap around the air cell and she kicked herself out. The other d'uccle zipped last night, finished this morning but kicked out after the maran this morning. The maran made it look super easy and quick. That one pipped and zipped in about 12 hours total

Submitted to the contest page but wanted to share with y'all. This is what this awesome HAL has inspired me to do. Thank you! I've already had more fun this time than ever before.

Has the temp dropped much? Heating pad or heat lamp. The heat lamp has the benefit of being adjustable. Closer = warmer.
