:yesss: :highfive: :celebrate
I love how clear that came out!

That's why I love white chicken eggs. Brown eggs are boring to candle, and for some reason duck eggs gross me out. I always throw a couple leghorns in every time I incubate so I have some eye candy to keep me busy for 3 weeks.

How are duck eggs different? Never incubated/candled them before.

It's hard to explain. They just remind me of little yellowy/greenish zombie babies. Scared the crud out of me when I first saw it. For some reason I thought they would look like chicken eggs. Apples and oranges! Lol

Thank you! Didn't mean to whine. :hugs

You weren't whining, TJ... your reputation speaks for itself quite well here, so is understandable that you were upset with an obviously unreasonable customer...
I haven't personally bought from you yet, but I do recommend you often... been eyeballing your Royal Purple Guineas for quite a while, lol... :D

Thank you for the perspective. I've been in touch with each seller of eggs during and after hatch. I would love for someone to volunteer to send me more eggs but I don't expect it during my contact. I'm not great at this hatching thing yet so I'm really absorbing and learning each time. Like you, Cowgirl told me she had no major problems with her recent hatch, so I know the eggs were probably in good hatchable condition when they left her. TX to NY is a rough haul. I'm curious about how we could develop a better shipping system (like a gyroscope or gravity based shipping system) and how we could better predict the best conditions for each breeds eggs.

A lot of work has been done by a good many of us in trying to find better ways of shipping eggs. There is a lengthy thread about it on here. So much is out of our hands. I always advise that if the eggs are really valuable or important to you, have them shipped express mail.

And when people are understanding of the difficulties, sellers are likely to want to help them with more eggs. But, when they're jerks about it, I feel like- Here's your money back, no more eggs, go away....

It's really useful too, when buyers let sellers know how the eggs looked when they arrived, how the air cells are and how the hatch goes.

HELP, HELP, HELP.... My incubator just died, need a solution unti I can get another, eggs have been in there for 7 days. I have a plant heating pad, should I put it under the water and mesh grill?!!!!!

Oh Nooooo...
I have had power outages where the eggs were very cold for several hours and no longer seemed to be alive that ended up hatching fine....so, thinking supporting thoughts for you!
Sounds like you have it under control for now with new bator tomorrow..
