Beautiful! I have 2 lavender orp chicks but one looks much yellower than yours. Maybe it is a splash & I got my eggs mixed up? Oh well, I'll find out eventually!

Thanks!
Ok last candling before setting tomorrow. I have 2 viable and 4 strong maybes. Dark but could not make out veins.

5 disgaurded. 4 clear one blood ring. I am hoping for atleast 4 hatched. Please keep your fingers crossed.

I set eggs on the 16th so I will be a post hatch-a-long hatcher. My second attempt at incubating eggs. I was just telling Casey that I went overboard this time. 39 total eggs, all shipped:

18 Lavender Orpingtons from breeder #1
14 Lavender Orpingtons from breeder #2
7 Jubilee Orpingtons from breeder #3

Candled day 7 yesterday:
#1 a few questionable, most clear
#2 6 very active embryos
#3 all seem clear

You put their needs and happiness before your own wants and desires... that is the definition of a great mom... many could learn from what you've done for Dahlia and Dandy... much respect and much love...

That's...that's so sweet, thank you...this made today a little easier on me

My girls are due to finish their molting in a month. Been such a long molt (their first ever!) and in the meantime I've been fixing up the coop some to make it nicer. Mite problem is being managed, so the new coop can wait for spring. I'm installing a sand tray under the roosts to catch poo, so Sally I may be able to give word on if that's more helpful!

AAAAH SO MANY CHICK PICS! I love it!
