Day 18 locked down 7 full eggs with fairly decent aircells, a couple of saddles. Added water to one channel which increased the humidity to 55, will add water to the 2nd channel tomorrow with paper towel between the channels under the basket. I will also add a sponge under the vent to syringe water if necessary. They were rocking and rolling getting into position.

We hatched 2 babies yesterday one gray silkie and a procelain silkie baby, we named them trick and treat.

Guess I should have joined this hatch a long. My hatch due Noe 2 morning has already started hatching. There are six of 24 bouncing around the hatcher with many more pipped and zipping! There are bantam and Columbian Wyandotte

We are on our way-13 hatches

so far and 5 are white. Yay!! Pic shows 12 as number 13 is still in the bator. I just love these noisy, chirpy tiny peeps, but my dogs go nuts hearing them at first but they've settled down now too. And my parakeet, Bebop, just stays really quiet and listens to them. It's all just too cool we set 40 eggs, so sure hoping for a lot more tonight Oh and these are my first white hatches ever so looks like my white males have done their duty

she cant be a nerd lol she sent me this pic via cell, and said "mom I wanna be a nerd for trick or treat tonight" it cracked me up, I said ok DORK edit to add.... and luke was a rubiks cube for school yesterday and tonight he wanted to be a zombie, but I wasnt allowed to do his makeup, only DAD was allowed to do it, because dad plays video games, NOT me! And drop cookies for fun just because we didnt get enough exercise cleaning chicken coops today

Well I had a total of 6/8 hatch! I am super happy considering they were shipped for 5 days across the country. The 2 that didn't hatch were duds at day 7 do I am pleased. I love to see everyone else's chicks!
