2015 Peafowl Hatching Support Group - Eggs and Chicks!

Last year the ones I had that would pip with the beak sticking out of the egg were too large and did not have room to swing their head to chip their way out of the shell. I had been under the impression that they had not lost enough weight because of incubating with too much humidity. This year I am running around mid 40s and having better hatches.

Are you tracking weight loss at all? I have actually weighed all of mine at time of collection and the first 2 have only lost 11.5%.
 
I'm about to weigh my next batch.

Here is the cutie fluffed and adorable! I wish these others would hatch already this loner just cries and I can only hold it for so long. I put a little stuffed animal with it but I guess it's not fooled!



I see one problem with the scale picture, lol.

It's not in grams!
