What about my Skye?
I’m suspecting she may be a he because the comb turned pink at 5 weeks and Taka’s comb didn’t.

Can you tell with EE at 7 weeks?
These are supposed to be sexed females I ordered from Meyer.
One Australorp has turned out to be a cockerel.

She’s younger in this photo and this is when I noticed the comb pinking up.

So far Skye looks like a pullet but a few more weeks will help be sure.

Yeah i'm pretty sure that is a boy. That red is super red and i'm seeing some suspicious pointy feathers. I can't go by feather coloration on that one since i'm not used to that pattern at all. Hopefully i'm wrong and whatever they put in the mix is just making the bird appear male.:)

I don’t think she’s a roo llombardo.
I zoomed in on her saddle feathers and none of them are the skinny pointed ones males have.
And at 19 weeks old there would be some by now.
You already have two cockerels.
Look at their saddle feathers.
She doesn’t have those.

I'm in freak out mode here. I was positive she was a girl. I guess it would help if I knew the breed. I got to go observe this one. I've had enough surprises.

I hope i'm wrong. I had one I SWORE was a girl other roo mated it and it hung around with the pullets then it's skinny butt grew as big as the roo quickly and it started to crow. I could have sexed mine with wing patch colors but I didn't know that back then.He didn't get noticable saddle feathers until maybe nearly 5 months. In the baby photos he is the little dark one, the giant red one was the rooster I knew I had.:)
