Mine are going into the garage tomorrow, my nine week olds are in a jumbo enclosure out there right now while we paint the coop. I’m putting the little guys brooder near the bigger guys so they can get use to seeing each other without touching. Wish us luck.

I saw on my feed stores website that they are getting a bunch of new chicks on March 15th. They are getting in a couple of breeds that I would love to have! Eeek! I must resist...I must resist...I must resist...

Brooder upgrade yet again.
I moved the babies to the garage.
Did I say how fast these chicks grow.
My older girls aren’t thrilled to say the least. Pretty thankful I’m trying to introduce now instead of later. One of my older girls has turned pretty aggressive and a lot of people on the site think she is actually a he but we’ll see.

Our batch of pulletts last fall included a white Cochin and later grandmas neighbor gave us a silkiee rooster. The fluff ball is the Cochin for sure! Both are very friendly though. The pulletts came from some local 4h girls who raise a bunch every year. Mom says she is saving for collage!

Our first batch of chicks ever should be here in 72 hours! We are getting egg-cited !!
