Oh yeah, skittishness can be just as annoying as aggression.neither Australorp is aggressive, the one I threaten with freezer camp is skiddish beyond all belief, she tears up my hands when I try to handle her when I look her over monthly. My gentle docile Australorp came from MyPetChicken. The second from the feed store I work at. I think they got them from either Meyer or Murray McMurray.
My bantam, Birdie, is like that.
But the friend I got her from is overrun with chickens right now and doesn’t handle them much.
She actually gave me two but the white one just would not calm down so she took her back.
Turns out she had a nest somewhere and that’s why she was so frantic.
I’ve heard of aggressive Australorps but it seems to be pretty rare.
I have no idea how I’m going to tell them apart!
I mean, how do you name birds that all look the same?
I’m also going to have 3 SS and 3 PR but I think there will be little differences with those ones.
I can tell one of my Wyandottes by her comb; she has a spike at the back of it.
I also tell them apart by their butt fluff shades.
