Oh how precious.
I have tried several tests with inconclusive results. The incubator is still running 90 degrees at the bottom even added hott water bottles to see if that would help. It is a perfect 97.5 at the top. This is my first time hatching them. I may switch them ro a different incubator today as I don't trust this one being 90 degrees at the bottom recently. I am hoping this just delays hatch and not hirts the eggs.
i'm 31 one day in on my first set of eggs , no wiggles , so no feed. might as well be turning six green stones. weight loss on chart so, just maybe they are just ultra mellow chicks
I may need to step away from the forum. Every time I see someone with a different bird I want them! First Pigeons now Emu! Adorable!
I have the opposite humidity problem in Florida. I am using rice and silica packets to keep it down. I have it perfect now. It was 75% with no water and A.C on in house. I must have mellow chicks as well. Same situation with no movement. Day 32 today.i feel like fighting with incubators is 90% of this. i'm 31 one day in on my first set of eggs , no wiggles , so no feed. might as well be turning six green stones. weight loss on chart so, just maybe they are just ultra mellow chicks. my second incubator i built outta that "pink panther" sheet foam. i think it has some sort of vapor wicking tec. because it's nearly impossible to keep the humidity up. driving me nuts. finally added a huge wet rag in a dish this keeps it at 20%. but looks like i'm going to have to go bigger or add second rag dish set up. we're in for warm spell so the outside humility will jump up and i'll have to start all over.
Is it always subtle movement or does it get more viable with age? I feel something but that could be yoke moving too. Today they were rolling I the scale, but it is glass too so...SEND HELP GOING NUTS LOL31 would be early for wiggles, lol. The earliest I ever got wiggles was day 32 and that was a really small egg. Usually it takes at least until day 35 and at that point it's really subtle. They juuuusst barely twitch when you whistle to them.
