2019 Spring Ducklings are here!

Pics
My scale goes to 11 (or 12?) pounds. They don't like to stand on it, so I covered it with a piece of rubber shelf liner, seems to make it a bit easier, especially for bigger birds.

The thing I hate about mine, it its "touch" buttons. Duck and chicken feet trigger the buttons too, so when one touches the display, it changes the mode, or zeros it out, or whatever. PITA! lol
The glass is easy to sanitize, but I'd rather have one where they can't reach the buttons.
This is the one I have:
Try to train them in the use of the buttons, so in the future you just tell your duck "Go and weight yourself", she will run to the scale, push the buttons and quack you her weight. :lau

I know right! So not happening but I'm sure you could do little babies
You can! As said i have them sit on me, calm them down and then "throw" them in the bowl quickly, get the weight calm them down again and return them to the brooder.
I will start giving them treats after weighting today.

I bought this kitchen scale with a stainless steel bowl that can weight up to 12lbs (5.4 KG). The ducklings start to jump out of the bowl, before i put them into the bowl, i have them sitting on my chest for a minute, pet them, talk to them to calm them down and then its just a matter of 2-3 seconds and i have their weight. I will add a paper strip to the rim of the bowl today to keep up with the ducklings growth.

I just ordered one!! Thank you!

Is the bowl attached?

The bowl is NOT attached, so it can be used with or without the bowl, or even with any other kind of container or whatever! :clap

Same one, without the bowl:
