2019 Spring Ducklings are here!

Pics
Thinking of letting them gorge on collards every 1st start with an oat breakfast so they dont decibate
I have started to mix meatbird-crumbles with the duckling starter food to reduce the protein content. The duckling starter has 22% protein, the meatbird-crumbles 18%. I'm not sure about the White Layers, they don't hold up their wings so tight as the others do. I don't want to have them treated for angel-wing. They're growing so fast!

Hey WV any updates on Amelia?

She’s doing very well. They love her to pieces. Sorry, I have been stuck to the incubator today, and doing a little sewing in between assists. I also have cream legbar chicks hatching today.

This is the most recent pic of Amelia. She loves her mirror. :)

Sweeet! More pictures please! It is difficult to hatch call ducks?

Call ducks are a huge challenge. They often need assistance to hatch because of their short necks and stubby bills. So I try to hatch them on weekends when I can devote the whole day to it.
These 2 are in the brooder.

:loveThey look so cute! - And tiny! What kind of colors do your call ducks have?

You're too humble! That is a very good picture! Nicely done with the brooder. What do you think: How long will it hold back the Buff Orpingtons?
I don't know Hole In The Head was scaling Boris from tail to shoulders and launching off his sholders into the great unknown. Depends on how fast Boris gets bigger. I can probably put them out at 3 1/2 weeks. Out as in the coop.
