Oh my gosh and look how many fit in the dish pan makes me remember when people use to see how many could get into a phone booth or Volkswagen beetle. LOL Well I have gone and told my age.
OK, as promised before falling asleep yesterday - ducklings really wear you out!
How to build a platform for your duckling waterer out of a flimsy white plastic bin and a sturdy green plastic basket from DollarTree.
This is the flimsy white plastic bin:
This is one the plastic baskets - a blue one:
The plastic basket fits upside down into the plastic bin:
But that's too high for a little duckling! I will use this when they have grown a bit, for the little ones, i have cut an opening into the flimsy white plastic bin - good that it is so flimsy, i could just use a pair of scissors:
And i cut the plastic basket horizontally below its handles:
I used PVC pipe-glue to glu the cut-away plastic to the bottom of the basket to expand the platform so that no duckling foot will be trapped between the basket and the bin:
A little duct-tape to cover the last holes and tadaa:
Just a warning: Be careful when using that pipe-glue indoors! Open a window and don't be home alone! The fumes from that glue can make you pass out quickly.
