Ya, I would think W. Virginia would have pretty good gun laws. I just looked it up and yes, you can have a gun from what I've read as long as your green card isn't expired.

Thank's for looking it up, so far i have not felt the need to own a weapon, but after my wife had observed those two Coyotes walking calmly over our property, i begin to feel different…

Duckling Update: As expected, the spreadsheet shows that first two ducklings are heavier than 500 grams:

Surprisingly yesterdays "one pounder" has slowed down and is still below the 500 gram mark; yesterdays number two and three made a leap and crossed the line first.

Again, i needed to clean out the brooder completely today, so the ducklings spent an exciting afternoon on the patio, meeting the grown up ducks:

This week the will move into a new brooder in the garage, the kiddie-pool is getting too small.

that's exactly what I was thinking which was why I looked it up. We have a lot of coyotes here too and they are very dangerous to have around. You ought to think about it.

The problem I have is the coyote are either moving so fast I don't have time to get a shot off, or they pose in front of the propane tank.

I found a thing today at CVS, it was labeled as a refrigerator tray, but it works well as a waterer tray.
Excuse the mess, took the pic before I cleaned lol
It’s higher on the back, and dips down in the front. I laid a kitchen cloth over it so make it easier for them to climb over. I think it will last with the Calls for a week or so, and keep things a little drier.
