I expect it's a female with kits to feed. They get pretty crazy in the spring. I also have wild dogs running with the coyote. At this point I am ready for the state to come take the house so I can build something safe for my birds.

What i mean is of you ground to the earth and have all fence wires Hott then the electricity takes a longer path threw the animal and hurts waaay waay more

I am thinking you should add traditional electric fence on the outside of the poultry fence. six strands with a higher voltage charger

That's a neon transformer with 3000 V and 30mA. The difference between a fence electrifier and this is that the electrifier sends pulses of electricity through your fence whereas the neon transformer applies a permanent charge. Make sure your birds can't touch the wire and you don't touch it too. It is damn painful!

Another thing: How tall is that fence? DNR told me that coyotes can jump 6 foot fences without running.

All the white wires are hot. There is a black wire around the bottom that is ground

Put that with 6 strands about three feet outside the poultry fence. Add peanut butter. Plug in

It's grounded through a metal stake the battery is on. While the voltage meter reads three time s minimum, I have touched it and while uncomfortable, it's not painful
