2020 Flock And General Chit Chat

We are trying for a second Flock, our roo is a big Brahma boy, and our first 4 attempts didn't do good, only three babies. We set some more this last week and we are at least getting some development! WooT!

Set 38, 19 are for sure, and 6 maybes! Of course no guarantee that they will all hatch, but a lot better numbers then before!

It was afternoon so kinda bright but black spot is baby

Happy 2020! It’s unfortunate that insurance companies get to dictate what medical procedures and medications that we need. Wouldn’t it be great if this was the year that you or your doctor make the medical decisions.
I had Mareks kill a couple of my Onagadori pullets a couple weeks ago. For 2020 I’m going to try to keep the rest of my flock alive and hopefully get some beautiful babies out of the few Onagadori I have left.
I’m also going to get around to culling the extra Roos with bad behavior (I’m looking at you Polish and silkie boys).

Ive never met a Silkie roo that i’ve liked....

3 posts up this last week for our chicken run still have a long way to go on nesting boxes upgrade and getting stalls chicken escape proof but it's a good start!

Yay! I love hatching stories cause it's something I can't do. Can't have roosters in the city so I'd have to find homes for any I hatched.
