I do have a polish that I don't think is the right color. I'll try to get a better picture of him if anyone has a guess? He's the dark one circled and he's supposed to look like the light one circled in the cornerOkay, got Dunlap and Ideal Today. 65 chicks total (don't think I got any exrltras but I'll count when I get home) and lost 6 to shipping. Everyone else looks amazing though so much better than the last batch
What kind of Polish is it supposed to be?I do have a polish that I don't think is the right color. I'll try to get a better picture of him if anyone has a guess? He's the dark one circled and he's supposed to look like the light one circled in the corner
It's the black crested white. I know they sometimes will substitute colors of they dont have enough (how i got my sweet little dark cornish gal last year) hoping its not just those normal black ones with a white crest since those are everywhere here. Its the same pattern as the others if you look close enough, but just all dark and darker. I'll get better comparing pictures when I get home from my class since I'm not sure how else to explain itWhat kind of Polish is it supposed to be?
When I look back at your list of breeds in post #8, the only Polish I see are White Crested Black from Ideal, and Buff Laced from McMurray, and I don't think that color looks quite right for either one.

Neat, thanks. Wonder if it's just different down or if there will be a noticeable difference as they age up tooJust going by pictures on the internet, the mostly-black ones with a white crest appear to have chicks like a black breed would: black on top, white or yellow underneath, looks a bit like a penguin. No stripes.
Since yours are both striped, I think there's a good chance they are both the right kind.
I don't know, but I will also be curious to see if there are differences as they mature.Neat, thanks. Wonder if it's just different down or if there will be a noticeable difference as they age up too
This is also the first time I've had polish chicks period so they're pretty new to me. Most of these I've had at least something similarNeat, thanks. Wonder if it's just different down or if there will be a noticeable difference as they age up too
