One of the best BBC documentaries is Time Team, where a group of archeologists and historians excavate ancient sites. They have uncovered many fascinating traces of mankind in UK dating back to neolithic times. Don'tknow if there are any examples on utube, but if there are they are well worth watching.

An excellent series and, yes, some of it is on You Tube:

How strange! I just discovered this show on YouTube last night! I love to watch BBC documentaries and Time Team is very good. They do state the obvious and seem to ask silly questions but that's just me. I still love the show. I watched the one about ancient England being attached to the rest of Europe and the Dutch fishermen bringing up incredible finds in their fishing nets. Wish they could excavate the whole English Channel! lol.

Assuming that the world ends on 12/21/12 based on their calender is like assuming the world ends on every December 31st. Since it is the last day. A calender based on cycles always has an end it is basically a circle.
I have seen the theory that it would have happened sooner because of leap days. That isn't true because they go by number of days. For example in 1,000 days we will have our next cycle. Whether that date to us is 12/21/12 or it is 9/5/15 it is still number of days.
