27th day of incubation pls HELP!

I got one of those small glass thermometers that you use in a fish tank to put in my incubator and the hygrometer at Walmart.

My incubator is brand new and it was off, I was kind of shocked but everyone told me that it would be that way.

You will get the hang of it and you won't lose any ducklings or you will only lose a minimal amount.

I lost 9 chicks in my last hatch which was my first hatch ever. I got some advice from everyone and I am doing another incubation right now trying to see if their advice will work. I'm only on day 3 right now, but we will see at day 7 how things go.

We too are on day three of incubation. Tho this is our first run ever. So I'm not sure how it will go at all. Fingers crossed.

I also wanted to add (and I still have to get one myself) but I was thinking of getting one of those two in one thermometer/hydrometers. Where there's two separate gauges on one device. They sell them for reptile tanks. I'm sure Walmart has them in the fish/reptile isle, if not Petco or PetSmart does.. And Amazon lol I always default to Amazon lol

That's what I have, but I don't use it for the temperature because I find it faulty on the temperature part, but not the humidity part. I still use my fish tank thermometer.

Thank you for your advice . I marked the date on the egg and I’m sure it’s accurate. My incubator s temp is set on 38c unless it’s malfunctioning... could be why all my previous hatching failed?
Is that the date of lay or the date you started incubating - development needs to be kickstarted, they will not start growing before being set.

Very sorry. Before this one hatches get your brooder set up and put a mirror and stuffed animal in make sure the mirror can’t fall over on it. The mirror will give it another duckling and the stuffy is for snuggling.
Wow this sounds so coool . I just checked again today ... it’s moving tiny bit ...
