3.5 week old OE x Silkies - gender guesses?

Feta & Cheddar were hatched from my silkie roo, Anton, and two Olive Egger hens - Penny & Ginger.

I’m thinking pullets because of the feather patterns, but Feta (lighter chick) has a much bigger (single row) comb than Cheddar, and is generally larger.

I’ve never hatched these eggs before so your guesses are as good as mine.

I think they are too young to tell at this stage. The thing to watch is the combs for growth spurts. That will be your best indicator. Silkies and their hybrids can be tough and sometimes take a long while to show their colors.

Gorgeous! Is Feta named after the cheese? Such a pretty bird...such a bad cheese
